Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Who needs a bill analysis tool such as FONVIEW®?

Bill analysis tools are typically used by business customers who have telecommunications bills in excess of $1000.

  2. Why would my business need to use a bill analysis tool such as FONVIEW®?

If you are a business customer with very large telecommunication bills with thousands of call records and charges, your business will likely need the ability to:

    • Allocate telecom charges to different departments for payment. With the use of bill analysis tools, gone is the need to highlight thousands of paper bill pages for distribution within the organization
    • Search for fraud and mis-use of the telecommunications system
    • Analyze bill information for accuracy of the telecommunications invoice
    • Aid in dispute resolution
    • Monitor customer service activities for staffing and scheduling
    • Monitor marketing campaigns tied to toll free numbers
    • Customize account hierarchies to match internal business practice
    • Re-rate billed transactions in order to create internal income centers within the organization or to bill your business’ customers for services

  3. What are the different methods for receiving bill data?

    • CD-ROM - this method of distribution is used by businesses requiring an archival copy of their bill data. These businesses often have very large databases exceeding download times that are acceptable. This bill is by nature ready for archival. This method of distribution requires a local or network install of the FONVIEW® application.
    • Internet Distribution - this method is used by businesses requiring an archival copy of their bill data and follows all of the requirements for CD-ROM distribution. Businesses using Internet distribution typically have smaller databases allowing for quick downloads via the Internet. Benefits to Internet Distribution include email notification of data availability and immediate access to data versus the shipping time required with CD-ROM.

  4. Who should you call with questions about billed information?

If you have questions concerning the functionality of the FONVIEW® product, please contact FONVIEW® technical support. Technical support can be reached via helpdesk@FONVIEWsprint.com or by calling 1-800-786-1222. If you have billing questions, contact a member of your account team or call Sprint at 1-800-816-7325.

  5. How secure is the FONVIEW® application and your business’ database?

FONVIEW® data is serialized to match a particular FONVIEW® application. Software keys (serial numbers) are sent via US Mail. Without the appropriate software keys, FONVIEW® data is inaccessible by the application. Additionally, when using the Internet Distribution method, your business is protected by firewall and SSL technology. Data is only accessible with the appropriate usernames and passwords as determined by your business.
